Frum Therapist

I would like to introduce myself. I am Shlomo Silverstone a Frum Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the past several years I have treated many adults, adolescents and children. Both in the Frum world and non-Frum world. Problems are problems in either world. I have found that there is still a huge stigma attached to being in therapy in the Frum world. One of the reasons that I am writing this blog is to try to help reduce the stigma of being "in therapy". To answer questions that people might have about therapy, or being in therapy. Therapy can be very beneficial in helping reduce depression, anxiety, and those blah like feelings. Like in every profession there are good and unfortunately bad therapists. Sometimes its not a good fit between the client and therapist and both end up in bad terms. I would like to discuss those concerns or any therapy concerns in this blog. If you have any suggestions, don't be shy, and post!!!
